KWEL 1070 AM is proud to be a locally owned and operated Talk Radio station serving up political commentary from our own political back yards in Odessa and Midland Texas, to Austin, our Nation's capitol and all points in between!

In an age of automated "mega-conglomerate radio stations" that concentrate on the national scene, we believe that in addition to national issues, the Permian Basin has more than it's share of political topics worth discussion. Because West Texas can be such a hot-bed of activity in the political arena, we are proud that in addition to our syndicated programming, we spend a lot of time and energy on topics that are important to our neighbors. At KWEL, we believe it takes a special radio station, and an even more special audience to succeed.
